Sightings report image

Date: 11/07/2012

Number: 1

A juv. female rufous showed up at our feeders a couple of weeks ago, about mid October. Occasional ruby-throats were also stopping by. The rufous is still here in spite of a couple of overnight hard freezes. If there's a hard freeze we bring the feeders inside overnight. We do have high quality photos. It's odd enough seeing a rufous near the NW Indiana border in Illinois, but seeing it here in November is really strange. The attached photo was taken last week but it's the same bird here every day.
