Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 11/08/2012

Number: 2

Still have 2 hummers coming to my feeders. One bird just doesn't look like a ruby throated. It has a rufus sheen to it's feathers and what looks like dark feathers coming in around it's throat, possibly a juvenile. Can't get a good look at it. Have looked in book and on-line, but nothing matches. Anyone have any ideas? Unusual for hummers to still be here now. I'm bringing in the feeders every night to stay warm, out before dawn. The little beggers zip in at first light. Had the most, too many to count, during the second week in September.
