Monarchs have just trickled through the Fairfield subdivision in Cypress TX area this Fall. I still see 1-2 adults every day. Larva survival has not been successful in my yard or a friend's yard 1/2 mile away. Eggs are deposited and larva hatch, we see small holes in the leaves after the larva hatch, but the larva disappear in a short period of time. I had about 10 chrysalis formed this spring, but 2/3 turned black. No chrysalis produced this Fall. Don't know what the problem is unless it is predators.
