Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/07/2012

Your questionaire was not helpful to answer. I have had monarchs all fall. I see the adults flying in my yard 1 - 3 a day. I have had continuous caterpillars, around 6 - 15 at a time, in my yard for a couple of months or less. I have about 9 right now. I moved 6 of these 9 to plants with more leaves today. I am running out of leaves. It has been 3 days since I moved them to better branches. I think this may be the end as I have one small baby caterpillar and the rest are pretty big.

Yesteray, I saw my first one actually hatch out of its chrysilis!!

In 2011 I had lots of them in the spring and fall and seems like the summer, too. This year there weren't that many in the spring. The fall is much better for them here.

Tell the nurseries to get bw plants in much sooner than they do. I needed them, I think in Feb. - March this year.

Contact me if you ideas about making the yard better for them. I live on a normal city lot. I don't use chemicals in the yard and use Microlife fertilizer.
