We found four large monarch caterpillars feeding on the milkweed in our outdoor classroom. We collected them because we are expecting some of the coldest weather we have had so far this year over the weekend. We gave them to a Pre-K class on our campus to observe. Most of our kindergarten and first grade classrooms have already raised and released monarch larvae from our garden.
