Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 11/04/2012

Number: 1

live in Waltham, Massachusetts, about twenty minutes west of Boston. On Sunday November 4, i was collecting asclepias tuberosa seeds in my garden. I looked down and to my total amazement, I saw a monarch caterpillar. It wasn't moving much but when I brought it in and put it in a container with some asclepias leaves, it started munching away. I found a second monarch caterpillar on some asclepias incarnata. It started eating when it warmed up too.
Two and three days later, they each transformed into chrysalis'.
