Still seeing resident sub adult rufous since October. He is slowly getting all orange but not the throat is complete red. He found a female Rufous friend by the daily up and down flight close to patio feeders. Or lured her in. Female was sighted this past month also. Female is green topped with orange under wing sides and an adult. Very fast flyer trying to photo her with no luck as she goes to the salvia on patio rather swiftly, just drops down fast. Here is another surprise. Garden customer care friend Joey that helps with hummingbird flowers for 10 years at the loop south Home Depot (3 miles from here) saw a hummingbird at dusk on 11/23/14 while watering the pansies and white alysumn.
