Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 12/01/2012

Number: 2

Two hummingbirds came to one of our backyard feeders this morning. I thought that the hummers were no longer around, but I was wrong and glad I have continued to replace the nectar in the feeders, even when it appeared they had not been sipped from very much.
One of the hummingbirds is larger than the other, which is why I know they are not the same hummer. One of them looks to have a small heart-shaped marking on its throat.
Nighttime temperatures have been in the low '30's and even into the upper 20's some nights. We live near the ocean, about 1 mile or so inland.
