Bald Eagle

Date: 11/22/2012

Number: 1

It was about 4:20 p.m. I was returning home when I spotted a very large bird at the edge of some trees. As I tried to identify the eagle, he turned his head so that the lowering sun in the sky shone directly on his head. It was white! He also had the talons and the unmistakable beak! I was so excited as I have only seen bald eagles in pictures. I wondered what he would eat as we have a lot of snow this winter...furthermore, I questioned why he was here in northern Alberta, just across from a small city, Sherwood Park.
