This little male has been in and out of my garden for the past three weeks. He was attracted by my late-blooming salvia and now comes for the Goldflame Honeysuckle. Yesterday was unseasonably warm and encouraged lots of small flying insects to take wing. My little Rufous disappeared about 9:30 AM but as I was watching for him later, a little female appeared, also attracted by the honeysuckle vine. Haven't seen either of the hummers this morning. Perhaps they were just late migrants. Local Audubon Society is very keen on seeing them again.
