Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 11/26/2012

Number: 3

While visiting the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens I saw a trio of male monarchs in one of their butterfly gardens, oh happy day!!! They were being territorial, of course (which is often how I see one male behaving toward another during migration). When all of the chasing was done the most dominant one settled on a pretty pink shrimp plant for a drink of nectar, and that's when I got this photo:-)
