Hummingbird Sighting (Adult Male)
Sightings report image

Date: 12/16/2012

Number: 2

We still have 2 Rufous, 1 sub adult male, possible female. sub adult works hard to keep female out of this yard, but she sneaks in to check out the yellow lantana, yellow sophra, hamelia, and purple porter weed still blooming.
Gary Clark from the Houston Chronicle Dec 15th, 2012 winter bird talk says food is the reason most likely that birds move to different locations, but they do not know why the Rufous is changing grounds to Texas this winter of 2012. Gary Clark has three Rufous, 1 male, 1 sub adult male, 1 female in the area called The Woodlands. Texas.
This one in photo is 'cool' because he also chases sparrows.
