Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 12/16/2012

Number: 1

I see Monarchs and many other butterfiles daily since I planted a butterfly garden last summer. About a month ago I spotted my 1st mating pair of Monarchs drifting in the breeze. Last week I had 14 large catapillars or what I call "chubbies" in and amongst my milkweed. As of today I have 8 chrysili on my Ponytail Palm tree about a yard away. They look like beautiful ornate Christmas tree ornaments. It is truly an amazing sight to be seen and even harder to photgraph. Everyday I watch to see what new wonders there will be.
