This monarch hatched this morning at 2am. I have it in my insect container because it was too cold to let it fly away. I have 7 more chrysalis inside that I have in a different insect container.
I am waiting 30 minutes, it should have warmed up to 57 degrees by then. And I think it would okay to release at that temperature.
This is a beautiful male, only my 2nd male out of the 12 monarchs that have hatched in my insect container and butterfly garden.
Simply beautiful!!
