About 2:00 pm central time, I went outside to fill water bowls for my backyard friends, and first noticed how very loud the bird "chatter" was. It was so loud that I stopped in my tracks to just listen. It sounded like I was at the zoo. Then I started looking around me at the trees in my backyard and the neighbors - there were robins on anything that looked like a twig or a place large enough to perch. I'll be 60 this year, and I have never seen, or heard anything like what I saw today. There were too many for me to count, but I think there were (conservatively) 300 to 400. It was breathtaking to see and hear. You cannot imagine something like this - you just need to see it! Truly amazing - what a blessing.
