Tulips PLANTED
Sightings report image

Date: 01/02/2013

Number: 1

3B, Ms. Wiggins third grade class, planted 21 tulips today. The weather was cloudy and chilly with light rain and temps. around 57 degrees. We planted our tulips in planters at our bus loop so that the whole school can watch them grow! We dug holes, sprinkled with bonemeal, covered them up and watered them. We also planted 5 experimental bulbs in the following way; half peeled and upside down, sideways and half peeled, peeled only on the top with too much bonemeal, last year's bulb cut in half with too much bonemeal, peeled completely and planted too deeply with no bonemeal. We wonder if the bulb cut in half and those that were peeled will grow at all. Which one will grow the tallest?
