This is the 5th year the 3rd graders at St. Matthew School are involved in the Tulip Journey North project. In the fall, students rolled up their sleeves and cleaned out the test garden beds. Rabbits had made a home there!! Before planting students dissected similar bulbs and compared/contrasted bulbs to seeds. Next, each student weighed and measured the bulb they were to plant and made predictions about the emerging and blooming dates. Every two weeks we take temperatures and note the condition of our test garden.
