This in NOT a sighting of spring but rather a rare sighting of a pair of snowy owls in St. Catharines. The male has been quite available for pictures since late 2012, the female has been more discreet in her appeareances. The photo that I'm attaching was taken by the local paper (St. Catharines Standard)of the male about 2 weeks ago. The male was still visable this morning only about 60 ft. from the road. I didn't have my camera today.
