I observed our pasture for about 1/2 hour starting at 11am (sunny, 78 degrees F) and saw at least 10 monarchs variously egg-laying, some drinking dew from plant leaves and grass, and males chasing females. Over the course of the day, as I sometimes was outside, I always saw monarchs flying around and laying eggs. The temperature reached 80 degrees F.
