Shortly after December 16 - 20, when tens of thousands of robins ate most of the madrone and toyon berries in hills and valleys around my home, I started seeing them flying overhead instead of stopping to eat. My birder friend said there were 30-50 thousand on his land a few miles away during the day. They continued passing over my house twice daily, to and fro. Now I want to wind up my robin report. The last I saw of their daily commute was on the evening of January 16, 2013, and now they are gone. Thanks for your interest!
