Tulips PLANTED

Date: 01/10/2013

Number: 1

Ms. O'Neill's third grade class, 3A, planted 24 tulips today. It was cloudy, warm and 70 degrees and rained right after we finished planting! We planted them in a raised planter at our bus loop and added bone meal to each hole that we dug. We also planted 5 experimental bulbs. The first one we cut the bottom off and peeled the skin before planting, the second one we peeled, planted sideways with no bone meal, the third we planted too deep, upside down with too much bone meal, the fourth we planted upside down, peeled with lots of bone meal and the last one was peeled, with a hole cut in one side and filled with bone meal. We hope that all our tulips will grow bright and beautiful and last a long time.
