The flock of robins that usually attacks the toyon and cotoneaster bushes in our yard around Thanksgiving finally arrived this weekend. As usual, there were a few cedar waxwings traveling with them and feasting on the red berries. The robins have been around in San Rafael since December, but this is the first wave that has come to our house. I wonder why we were late on their itinerary this year?
