There was a lull in the rain that day and I was about to check on my feeders when I heard this robin. I was excited but also knew how the weather was going to change drastically in the next 48 hours and was fearful because it was going from 60 degrees to 20 but I know it definitely was a robin.
The song I heard that day was the "Zeeup" call. I have a wildlife habitat and there are berries on several bushes in my yard. I don't know if I surprised it that day and that was why the calling was sent out or not. I have not heard it again (February 4) and I have been shoveling at least once a day since then and have been listening carefully.
