There is a pair of red-tailed hawks that are building a nest in a large tree in the valley below us. They are in the top part of that tree that puts them at about eye level with us. With binos, we can get a good look at the lumber being brought in, until the trees start leafing out. A pair built at the same sight back in 2008 and raised one chick to fledge.
