I have seen about 5 monarch caterpillars in my garden this week. Saw a chrysalis with butterfly about to emerge yesterday. A butterfly emerged Saturday Feb. 2, 2013 and has been feeding on nectar.
This is much earlier than I have ever seen butterflies. I think 100s emerge out of my garden yearly now.
