I have milkweed plants, eggs, caterpillars,chyrsallis & butterflies year-round. My milkweed doesn't die. I do have to fight off 2 kinds of wasp. 1 kind lays eggs into to the larvae & the other just destoys the larva. I also have more than 1 kind of milkweed. And everything is done outdoors in its natural enviroment.
