When taking soil temperature samples last week we noticed just the tips of our tulip bulbs have emerged. Today when taking temperature samples, our tulip have now emerged at least 2 inches. We have predicted that our tulips will be red because their tips are red. We are having a mild February and predict that many of the tulips will double in growth by the end of the month. We also had been storing old daffodil bulbs in a bucket and discovered today that water had helped them all sprout. Many of them in the bucket are green stems of about 8 inches. It was quite a surprise.
