Bald Eagle

Date: 02/16/2013

Number: 1

During the last week a few small open patches of water have appeared on an otherwise frozen Oyster Pond. Today, through binoculars, I was able to see in the distance an adult Bald Eagle standing on the ice at the edge of one of these openings tearing with his beak at something clasped in his talons, probably a fish. I would have liked to have seen the eagle catch it.
