I was just outside my home in Sherwood Park, and looking up I saw a Very large bird coming towards the house. We have Ravens throughout the winter here, and it was distant enough I could only see a drak shape at first. But it seemed TOO large, and it was! My first Bald Eagle sighting of the year!!
Last year (2012) my daughters and I had seen one in the same locale on Feb 16th, so they seem to be our first harbingers of Spring!
