5 out of approximately 32 tulips have emerged 1cm out of the ground. We took a soil temperature of 5 degrees C/41 degrees F in the center of the garden. We compared our temperature to the sight of Foothills Elementary in Buckley (the north side of the same school we are at). The temperature of that sight was 1 degree C/33.8 degrees F in the center of the tulip growth. Their tulips emerged on 2/5/13. We planted our tulips on the south side of the school.
