Here in Houston we have had mexican milkweed with leaves all winter and currently have a plant that is blooming. Some milkweed plants have been killed by our freezes. I have 3 that are currently leafing out.

We saw a caterpiller in January even after a cold spell. Haven't seen a caterpiller thus far in Feb.
