We had 4-6 hummingbirds winter over. I had to keep my feeders out all winter. last week three of the birds stopped coming to the feeders. I do not know why. One bird we named Rocket is still at the feeder he claims. We named him Rocket because he arrives and departs top speed vertically.On cold days we would put out warm sugar water. It did not stay warm long, but while it was the birds would drink ,drink, drink. they would stop being as concerned about another hummer showing up. they appeared less aggressive. I think it was the warm feed was so liked by them.
