For the first time in 39 years at this address we witnessed a wave of 150 to 200 robins swarming a holly tree adjacent to our backyard. The holly tree is situated between two very tall trees, each about 1/2 of a city block away. It was like an aerial Grand Central Station for two days. The swarm stopped abruptly around 3:30 pm. yesterday. I have never noticed more than a very few robins at one time here before. There are still plenty of berries left, but no robins today.
