Red-bellied Woodpecker learns to eat seeds at feeder! (This photo was taken a day or two before I saw it actually eating the seeds from this feeder. I've put out a special suet for this awesome bird, but apparently, the location of it isn't so great.

Living in the woods hasn't brought the birds into our view until two large Oak trees were cut down last year. I miss those trees, but we have seen more birds this Winter than ever before, which is a beautiful way to connect with Nature!

I've especially enjoyed watching the Red-bellied Woodpecker, the Resident Robin of course, a flock of Rufous-sided Towhees, male and female Cardinals, many of the pretty finches, many more songbirds and most recently, a bird I haven't identified yet and so far, haven't been able to get a clear photo of the new visitor. It is partly blue and looks like a type of Woodpecker.
