Today I went out and spotted 5 of the 50 bulbs have just emerged. We have had a relatively mild winter, but not as warm as last winter. We have had no snow, although tomorrow we are expecting a snow storm. This year the bulbs were planted closer to the building (about 3 feet) and on a portion of the courtyard that gets more shade than in previous plantings. Our fist sign that spring is on the way.
