Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)

Date: 02/23/2013

Number: 1

On Feb. 23 I shot this 8 minute video the monarchs still clustering in large numbers at the Lighthouse Field State Park overwintering grove in Santa Cruz. I thought numbers were in the 3,000 - 4,000 range.

At the 4 minute, 52 second mark in the video I start to talk about the tropical milkweed that is planted in a residential yard across the street from this overwintering site and then I walk over to the milkweed and discover monarch eggs.
