All Other Signs of Spring

I would just like to follow up on our little tenacious Nashville, TN. wintering Ruby-Throat! I want to share the incredible news with all of the amazing folks that have responded to our story with wonder and delight. It has been so touching to know how these tiny creatures have captured the hearts of so many! Sharing a common interest truly unites! I am so pleased to share with everyone concerned about this little dude, that he is still going strong!! We have had a very cold, wet winter in Nashville with several more days of snow since the first posting. As usual, I would fret and fret when the temperatures plummeted ... Knowing how hard this little guy has had to work all winter.. Until he would zip up to the feeders like he was reading a cue card.... just to make my day. Now that his troops are making their way up from the Gulf, my thoughts are focused on whether or not this little guy will be able to defend his territory... I certainly think he deserves it!! And surely, no other will know the idiosyncrasies of every nook and cranny in the hood as he does!! Wishing each and all of you a garden full of hummers and a delightful spring!!
