As I was driving from my friend's house - approximately 2 miles from mine - I saw about 20 robins resting in the shade beside a tree-lined canal. This is the latest I've ever seen robins come through and the smallest group ever - usually everyone's yards are filled with robins when they come by on their way north. Surely glad I did get to see a few this year before we head north (maybe they have been waiting for us??).
