At 9:45 a.m., on a cloudy, drizzly-rain day, 50 degree F, we observed nearly 100 robins, literally covering the yard of a farmhouse we passed on the way home. They were so close to each other, pecking at the grass. Beautiful! That day our temperatures rose into the unseasonable low sixties, perhaps welcoming the robins.
