Seen on an eagle viewing boat tour between Haddam and Essex on the Connecticut River: 19 eagles, including nine immatures sitting on a sandbar in the river, plus a male and female sitting a nest of newly laid eggs. Also numerous hooded mergansers, cormorants, black vultures and turkey vultures, red winged blackbirds and many red tailed and Coopers hawks. And one harbor seal.
