Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/12/2013

Number: 1

Surprised me to see a monarch so early!

I’m 99% certain it was a Monarch. I’ve already seen an Eastern comma here as well, and a red admiral. I was kind of shocked because we’ve had some really variable temperatures, but we’ve also had some very strong southerly winds. It looked fresh/new to me. I will check the pasture this weekend for milkweed and eggs.
