Observed a Monarch flying casually across the Tarmac at the ASF at Lone Star Executive Airport about 11:15AM. A passing marlin made an aggressive run at it, but within about 6 to 8 inches veered off and let it go on its way. I, likewise, had sighted a large (about 6" across) swallowtail in the swimming pool area of our yard here in Conroe on Thursday morning. He flew unabashedly around me and our Westie a couple of times before heading off to another yard!
