First of this year seen today, two of them. The wind was/is out of the south @30mph and the 1st came over our house @10:08 A.M. followed by the 2nd one at 10:30 A.M. Of course, maybe there were more but we came inside. For the past three years the first ones I have seen have been March 20 and March 21 so this year they are early. So wonderful to see our "friends" again!

There is NO DOUBT the 2 b'flies we saw were MONARCHS. As a matter of fact we saw another one on Sunday (03/17), with wind still strong out of the south.
