I previously reported this sighting and singing but since it does not appear on your map as of this date (3/19/13), I do not believe it has been received by you.
I live approximately 20 miles west of NY's capital, Albany. On 3/13/13, I observed a male robin singin in my ornamental crabapple. I believe his location is "noteworthy" because the tree has small, dried apples (about pea size) that overwinter on the tree. I believe this would make a good diet for the robin which may have problems finding food on our somewhat frozen ground.
