Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/21/2013

Number: 1

We have a bird bee butterfly garden. We have a Rufous Hummingbird couple that winterd over in our garden. In January we called park rangers to trap and identify and ban the female. Today I saw a humming bird at the feeder after not seeing the Rufous for a week. We thought they might be going back to the Pacific Northwest. The bird today might be the first Ruby-Throated. I do have some vision problems and also did not want to move to get a camera when I saw the bird feeding. I am not sure if it was a first Ruby-Throated or the Rufous.
