We noticed as a class during observation that two of our tulip plants had bloomed. While observing, we noticed one had fully bloomed and opened over the weekend. The other was red, but the flower was closed. The odd part was we thought they would be tall, however, the fully bloomed tulip only measured about 6 inches in height. We hypothesized they would be taller because we are growing a tulip in our classroom indoors, and it hasn't bloomed, but its stem is already over 6 inches tall.
