Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 03/25/2013

Number: 3

Male robins have been here for abt. 3 wks. Yesterday we were hit with the largest snowstorm for several years...16inches. The robins started looking for seed under the feeders (sunflower hearts) that fell from other birds. Today, the robins got smarter and got onto the feeders. They ate peanut cakes on a tray feeder and perched on the rails around the bottem of the finch feeder (niger seed and sunflower pieces). These actions are very unusual in Illinois.
