What a surprise to come to school and see that many of our bulbs have bloomed. The air temperature is 14 degrees C and the soil is 6 degrees C. It was interesting that we had snow on the ground at the same time the blooms were showing. Several of our bulbs had continued to be dug up by the local, hungry animals like the rabbits, squirrels, and maybe mice. We really enjoy this project and have been watching how gardens are doing even as far as Russia!
