Two little barn swallows showed up today and have claimed the nest on the front porch. There were four nests from last year. I knocked down three of them over the winter because they were old and did not hold the babies last year. I am hoping the little family shows up to claim the nest on the back porch. The birds who nest on the back porch seem to be better parents. I have no idea why.
