This was, I believe, a Anna's hummingbird. I'm fairly new to the area, and just recently put up my feeder. After waiting nearly 3 weeks, my first guest arrived. This is his third visit. I was just working on the patio when he flew up and fed, a mere 5' from where I was standing. Very handsome guy. He's quite little, so I'm assuming that he's young.
